University study: Ethnic Disadvantaged Get More Money Than White Disadvantaged

The British public are well aware of this already. Immigrants and ethnic communities do NOT get equal treatment. They get special treatment.

Of course it takes a University study before it can be said out loud in media publications.

White working-class boys are under-performing badly but they do not get the grants immigrant groups receive

White boys from poor backgrounds are falling further behind their black and Asian classmates in exams, official figures have revealed.

The breakdown of the 2006 GCSE results has fuelled concerns, already voiced by the Conservative party and by teachers’ unions, that a lack of financial support for these pupils could boost racist groups such as the British National Party.

The figures come as research by Manchester university confirms that poor white pupils are losing out in the battle for funding. The Manchester academics conducted a detailed case study in an unnamed, deprived inner city, which received a “disproportionate” level of funding to tackle inequality. Money was being targeted at pupils with English as an additional language, but “white learners from highly disadvantaged backgrounds were reportedly often overlooked”, they said.

We have this unfairness here too ... only it extends to gender as well, where a disadvantaged young girl can almost get things for free.

    "wonder why you thought that?"

It's a British Blog, so I assumed you were... er... British. Not the wildest assumption I've ever made, even if it has been proved to be wrong!

"I do always say I am accidently american .. though not entirely sorry for it."

There's no reason to be sorry. I for one am fed up with the anti Americanism that is prevailent in some of our press today.

"you first thought I was a man too?"

Um, yes. Guess I didn't read the signs right!

I wouldn't consider being thought british an insult, though the man thing? (still understandable.)
anyway, glad to hear YOU don't hate us.

May peace be upon your souls, hearts, minds & bodies.. Amen.

    Well, racism..
Goooooooooood, how I hate the word!!
We're exposed to that over here.. But not education wise..
    Work wise..
Which I think WILL BE THE CASE FOR YOU IF IT STARTED WITH EDUCATION..
'cuz that means if some get 'special education', they are the same ones who will get 'special jobs' with 'special salaries'..
I'll tell you how I'm exposed to it personally..
Well, over here, locals get paid much higher than expatriates.. Even if they are at the same level of performance.. Even if they perform worse than them(expatriates)..
Why?? 'cuz they are locals, & they deserve the best of their country!!
    Mom..
Mama works as a management accountant, and gets paid less than her new colleague(who happened to take an expatriate’s place by firing the expatriate and replacing her with the local who's major isn't even related to her post)!!
    And who gets the load??
    MOM!!
Does she set a bonus? Nope
    Daddy..
Dad worked for 13 years & simply comes new laws saying that the number of working expatriates are increasing waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than locals.. So what do we do?? Fire them..
SO he gets fired for no reason by the new boss who took the old boss’s place (but this time, the ex-boss was local)..
    How old is daddy? 52..
    SO he can still work…
AH AH.. Wrong answer!! They’re hiring locals now, remember??
    And so goes the racism..
    Another face of racism..
    Hospitals & health care..
The worst government hospital for expatriates..
The best government hospital for locals..
Life is not fair.. People aren’t fair.. God is Fair.. SO I’ll ask Him.. Him only.. Turn to Him..
Wish you & your country some relative fairness in education.. At least.. ‘Cuz you’re known for it.. I got my IGCSE’s from Cambridge, through the British council here.. And hope it always stays the source of advanced knowledge.. FOR ALL.. THOSE WHO DESERVE IT..

    With respect,

Muslim store worker refuses smoker cigs

A SMOKER was refused cigarettes at a Cambridge store because the Muslim shop assistant said it was against her religion to sell tobacco.
A 31-year-old woman, who asked not to be identified, was shocked when she attempted to buy a pack of 20 cigarettes at the WH Smith store in Market Street and was turned down.
She said: "I asked for a pack of 20 Lambert & Butler and the woman behind the desk asked me if they were cigarettes.
"When I said they were she told me that it was against her religion to sell them - I couldn't believe my ears.
"I rang up the manager to complain and he said the shop assistant has to ask someone else to serve them for her if a customer wants tobacco.
"If she had just said, I can't serve you, then that would have been fair enough, but the thing that really annoyed me was the way she gave me a lecture as well.
"She started saying she doesn't agree with smoking, that it kills you - I was really gob-smacked."
When contacted by the News, the store's assistant manager, who refused to give her name, said: "It is true that Muslims can't sell cigarettes - I used to be Jehovah's Witness and I wouldn't on religious grounds either."
She said the customer should have realised the shop assistant was a Muslim, and would not sell her tobacco, because she was "sitting there in her full robes".
Asked why the store had someone who would not sell tobacco working behind the till, she said: "It is against the law to discriminate against people on religious grounds".
However, a leading Muslim denied the claim it was against Islam to sell tobacco, and said he had Muslim friends who smoke.
Asim Mumtaz, president of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Association in Cambridge, said: "I don't think there is any basis for refusing to sell cigarettes.
"Islam, like most religions, is against anything that injures health or the body, but there is no ban on cigarettes or on smoking.
"The holy Koran is quite specific about intoxicants, alcohol and other drugs which cause a person to lose control are forbidden, but cigarettes are not forbidden so I am surprised by this."
