Terrorists Bombing London Olympics Unlikely

Why? Because they're building a fucking massive mosque next to it. Thanks to j & Infidel Bloggers Alliance.
A MASSIVE mosque that will hold 40,000 worshippers is being proposed beside the Olympic complex in London to be opened in time for the 2012 Games.

The project’s backers hope the mosque and its surrounding buildings would hold a total of 70,000

If this Mosque is built it will be so cringeworthy to watch the Olympic games, which will be watched by billions, with a fucking massive mosque next to it. *Shivers*. For a while now London has been dubbed Londinstan - this would be terrible PR for London.

Why next to the fucking olympic games? I mean come on, what are they trying to do, shove their fucking religion down our throats?

UPDATE: via American Future

Tablighi Jamaat, a worldwide Islamic missionary group, is proposing the mosque as its new UK headquarters. [The group] has come under scrutiny from western security agencies since 9/11. Two years ago, according to The New York Times, a senior FBI anti-terrorism official claimed it was a recruiting ground for Al-Qaeda. British police investigated a report that Mohammad Sidique Khan, leader of the July 7 London bombers, had attended its present headquarters in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. In August, Bavaria expelled three members of the organisation on the grounds that it promoted Islamic extremism.

By the way, the largest Christian place of worship in Britain is Liverpool’s Anglican cathedral, which has a capacity of 3,000.

I like your level of optimism.

    Laying the foundations of Anglistan.

Thanks Jamal. Though I fear you are returning my sarcasm :)

I guess I won't be watching those panorama shots of the 2012 Olympics, then.

I noticed this in the article: Islam has traditionally been at the forefront of technology and change.
    Really???

There's nothing optimistic about it at all from the p.o.v. of majority british people, thanks a fucking bunch. Although the perma-whinging grievance groupies that constitute the 'muslim community' in the UK will of course absolutely fucking love it.

As for the 'technology and change' quote - gotta laugh.

he heh j0nz - you're a bit slow on some things.. i think the term londonistan came about this summer - that's how london was being referred to by the american media.

  7. # Anonymous sonia

j0nz - you're starting to remind me much of the same sort of people who would go about in mainly muslim countries and say - now why do we have to cater for these 'big fancy ' churches for 'those people' eh? or when people wanted their own churches but didn't want synagogues. Where's the difference? i mean for goodness sake - its such an illiberal attitude! why do you think you're being any way shape or form different to the intolerant types you dont like? aren't you stooping to their level?? aren't you admitting to an inherent similarity? doesn't that disturb you? it would bug me!

ah now these whatnot jamaat people sound like trouble! we should direct our slagging off accordingly..

Nope. I don't want any fucking religious superstructures to be build - especially by relgious zealots with links to Al-Qaeda, if it's all the same to you.

Or perhaps in your eyes we should build this thing, (in the name of liberalism!) and watch London descend into race wars. If that mosques gets built - i guarantee you BNP will make massive gains. Is that what you want? You don't care about the 'sensiblities' of secular white people?

Effects of building mosques willy nilly without asking the public

We have thankfully - well at least until 9/11 - had a steady decline in religious supersitious crap inflicting on our lives. No we are seeing a resurgence. Wonderful.

Actually, "Londonistan" is a term that's been used for years - I reckon since the mid 1990s - : and its origins are in France: The term came about in response to the UK's refusal to extradite (back to France) various suspected Algerian Islamists believed to be responsible for a series of bombings in the Paris railway network in 1995-96.

Liverpool Cathedral "the biggest Christian place of worship in the UK"?
Nah mate. Or at least, I don't think so. Remember reading a while back that a recently opened pentecostal church, the Kingsway International Christian Centre, at Hackney Wick (curiously, also next to the Olympic site) was the largest. Not sure exactly what the score is (and am presuming it is still in use) - One site I found credits it with capacity of 5,000: I thought higher given that Catholic Churches round my neck of the woods (Kilburn/Cricklewood) have congregations of 3,000+ (albeit spread over a number of masses each Sunday)

The Church's own website - www.kicc.org.uk - states that they too envisage constucting a 10,000 seater church building too, for what its worth.
That fig of 5,000 I site above comes from the "Ship of fools" website btw.

Hang on though, KICC say this

"History of KICC Kingsway International Christian Centre(KICC) was established in 1992 with just 200 adults and 100 children and today, with some 10,000 people in attendance at the main church every sunday, we are the largest independent church in Europe. The Church is located on a 9.5 - acre site in the heart of london. which was purchased debt-free. The 4,000-seat auditorium has been acknowledged to be the largest church to be created in the UK since 1861."

Potential for all sorts of inter-religious rivalry in that part of London then, I suppose.

hmm actually im not bothered about them building a super-structure, as long as no-one makes me go there. id prefer it architecturally not to be some silly superstructure cos that's just ugly, they ought to make it pretty for the rest of us. id rather a bunch of crazy mullahs didnt have to have their fingers in every pie, they mess it up for the rest of us. a building is just that at the end of the day..its the people that are more the problem..
